HOW WE PROTECT YOU

Data Handling, Cookies and Account Security

We apply industry-standard measures across every layer of your account — from the moment you log in to the point a withdrawal lands in your Paytm or PhonePe wallet.

Encrypted Data Storage

All personal data — including your name, email, phone number and linked UPI handle — is stored in encrypted form. Encryption keys are rotated on a scheduled basis so that a compromised key cannot expose historical records.

Cookie Use and Consent

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and analytics cookies to understand how pages perform. You can manage or withdraw cookie consent at any time through the privacy settings panel inside your 1exch account dashboard.

Account Login Security

Two-step verification is available for every account. When enabled, a one-time code is sent to your registered mobile number before access is granted — reducing the risk of unauthorised login even if your password is compromised.

Data Retention Schedule

We keep active-account data for as long as your account remains open. After account closure, transactional records are held for the period required by applicable Indian financial regulations, then permanently deleted from our systems.

Your Right to Access and Correct

You may request a full export of the personal data we hold on you at any time. If any detail is incorrect — a phone number, a linked Paytm ID, an address — you can ask us to update it and we will confirm the change within 72 hours.

Deletion and Erasure Requests

Where no legal retention obligation applies, you have the right to ask us to erase your personal data. Submit an erasure request via the Help Centre; we will confirm deletion within 30 days and send you written confirmation to your registered email.

Frequently Asked Privacy Questions

Here are the questions we receive most often about how we handle your data. If yours is not covered, reach out to our privacy team directly through live chat or the Help Centre.

We collect your name, email address, mobile number and the payment identifiers tied to UPI, Paytm or PhonePe transactions. We also log device type and session timestamps to protect your account from unauthorised access.

We do not sell your data. Payment processors receive only the transaction data needed to clear a deposit or payout. No marketing companies or data brokers receive your personal information from us.

Submit a data-access request via the Help Centre or email our privacy team from your registered address. We will compile and send your data export within 72 hours of verifying your identity.

Yes. Where no legal obligation requires us to retain your records — such as financial-compliance rules — we will erase your data within 30 days of a verified erasure request and confirm deletion by email.

Active account records are kept while your account is open. After closure, transaction logs are held for the period required under applicable Indian financial regulations, after which they are permanently deleted.

Log in to your account dashboard and navigate to account settings, or contact our live chat team. Corrections to key fields like your registered phone number or linked Paytm ID are verified and updated within 72 hours.
